In the begining...

Jazwiec (pronounced Jahzwiec) in old Polish means a badger and it was the name of the first home page we have put together with Konrad in 2005.

One of the main elements of the original page back then was my shop which with time was customary called "Jazwiec" by my customers and friends.

The badger itself, designed as a heraldic were-badger also was used as the heart of my personal seal.

The present...

With time befriended craftsmen started to put up their shops on our site. We started to go to various medieval events together setting up shops side by side. It didn’t take long to reach a decision to join forces thus Jazwiec has been transformed into a informal traveling craftsman group :)

Why have we formed „Jazwiec" group?

Well reasons were plenty – but one of the most significant missions we have is to promote Polish re-enactors as solid and worthy craftsmen by taking part in interesting events in different parts of Europe.

But there is also the “real-life” side of it all :) simply economies of scale – it is a lot easier to get travel costs refunds for a whole group than for a single person.

More about me in "About Us" section

I am the group’s main coordinator I plan routes and negotiate funding for events.

My work involves making jewelry and accessories from bronze and sliver.

In my shop you can equip yourself with a belt with various buckles and endings adjusted to the appropriate period and social class. You can also decorate your costume with a brooch or metal buttons etc.

I also make and sell various small household goods like sewing kits and candleholders.

If you are looking for something special I also can do custom work from provided materials like for example heraldic seals etc.

BASIA

Jazwiec Group

My main focus is medieval braiding and speaking more generally - textiles.

So I make laces, garrets and woven dress accessories embroidery. Also woven belts that can be used as tapes, garrets or just decoration.

I also make various elements of medieval dress using the Naalbinding technique – things like socks, caps and gloves.

I can also supply other accessories like bags or purses. Occasionally I can sew other dress elements.

My other interests are medieval painting techniques and that is why I also paint pewter badges.

RADEK

Jazwiec Group

I mainly create various amour pieces according to source materials from XIV and XV century. But occasionally I do other stuff not only with metal as well.

Depending on my clients wealth and expectations I try to recreate the beauty of medieval plate armor with the highest detail possible. And even though I strive to reach the best possible level of historic authenticity I can also take orders that are less demanding for less demanding price.

In my current offer you can find two standards of finish of my pieces. The high standard and the economic standard. Please look for details in my shop.

Events and travel

Even though our history is short we have already attended some interesting events:

       Denmark - Nykobing 04.2007
       Sweden - Landskrona 08.2007

For both events we have managed to get travelling costs refunds. We always try to plan routes so that we will have occasions to visit as many historic sites and museum as we can.

You can find photo reports from these voyages in the Gallery section. We are happy that we have managed to meet a lot of interesting and great people at these events and that we got many more invitations for years to come :)
